Class Evaluation

CLASS EVALUATION

1.Somethings I liked about the class exploring computer science was that we learn at least on the basic level of making a website. This something I didn't know how to do but it seemed pretty easy all you need to know is where the parts go and in what order. It was a real learning experience because this is something I feel could really help me in the future with other things that i might want to do. This also a new type of subject I have learned in the past few years.

2. Somethings I did not like about the class was how we learned about things that I already knew about and the only time I really did learn something new was towards the end of the semester which was learning the basics for components for a website. Another thing I didn't like about the class was how it during the time where we learned about the computer and its hardware and software we did not learn about the whole the whole thing such as like what Hz were when talking about the motherboard and the GPU or the different types of cases there were for a computer maybe how what differs from a connected mouse to a wireless mouse and how much latency each has.

3. Somethings i would recommend to improve the class is to maybe get to know the computer in class which could teach students a lot if they have a PC at home. Maybe we can learn about the different components that a computer contains  but more than the basic. The cooler for a computer could be one part that we can learn about and maybe spend more time learning about the computer and websites itself than spending time on learning how to become a better person. The class could also maybe have a small test so it could show that we did learn the parts of a computer or the parts for a website.

4. The highlight for me in this class was maybe how I learned the website parts fast and with little to no practice I was able to learn the basics. I believe this was a really big help to myself and it also showed how I was able to learn about this. I thought this was one of the biggest parts for me in class and maybe the greatest part for me in class. I just wish that we could have learned about this sooner and maybe we could have been on our way to create a real working website on the internet.

5. I do believe I did my best in this class that i did try my hardest in the class. I really feel that this class also showed myself how much i have learned over computer in the past i think 4 years of being studying and learning the parts for a computer which showed that I have really improved in the past few years. I also think that maybe the teacher would also be able to tell me whether I really did try my best in the class and maybe that could show me how others think I did in the class in this entire semester.

6. I am reading my life planning journal everyday for 5 minuets. I do spend time reading it and writing in it not much though since there is one goal I am pursing and feel that I would start writing in the journal a lot more once I have achieved that goal. The one thing is I don't spend much time in the sharpen the saw part of the journal because I don't really know much on what to write on that side of the journal which could be also maybe i think i can improve if i knew what knew more of what to write in that side.

7. One thing is that I have always been trying to not really do exactly what a CTR person does but I know what is right and what is wrong at least for the general part of it and what i want to do is find my own way of being my own CTR person. I know that I get criticism for some of the things I deiced to do and I think that is just my own way of learning or what i believe to not let emotions take over but to think with your brain and not your heart because both do not go together. I also know that seeking personal is something I'm not doing because of the reason that I do not like to be told that how I am as a person is wrong because I believe sometimes people just need to know that.

The 10 keys to personal power

The 10 keys to personal power

Brian Tracy

Briantracy.com

Key 1: Clarity
"Have vision. Determine what you want to be, do or have in life.  Have a sense of direction and know where you’re going.  If you do not have clear specific goals in life, you are doomed forever to work for others who do."

In this key you learn to have clarity in your life but what does that mean to have clarity in your life. Well to put it in simple terms it mean to have a clear path and know where you are going with your life. Mainly it means to have a set goal or at least think about what you want to do and don't just into life blindly. This could help you because it shows that you are preparing for your life ahead and you aren't stuck when others ask what you want to do in your life. So know where you are going know what you want to do with your life and know how your going to do it. I've been told this many times and i do believe it pays off but i don't think that schools mainly are teaching it right if you just have to think of something on the spot. Even myself i don't like it how my school does this it doesn't make it enjoyable it makes it like a chore they should be maybe teaching it in a way that makes things enjoyable to think about where you want to go or what you want to study. They should also teach the difference between a career and a job and show some of the many times of careers you can pursue.

Key 2: Competence
"If you commit to excellence, opportunities will always come your way. The harder you work, the better you get."

This should be something that most people should try to if they want to do something or get somewhere it should be something that everyone is doing. This just means to be a hard worker and not to give up in what your doing. This could be the turning point in something such as maybe the grade you want if you want a teacher to bump you up to a C, B, or A and your just on the verge of the going up but you just don't have enough points to go up and the teacher sees this and bumps up because they see you that your working hard toward the grade. It could also apply towards things such as a job raise which like a said could be a turning point. This should also make you want to work towards that which you want and just maybe even help you to know your strengthens that you never knew you had.  You should always just strive to better yourself or find those skills of yours that can help you in school your job. or career. Many times people say they want to get something but they are never able to achieve it because of the reason that they don't put in enough effort or work into what they are doing to get that specific thing that they want.

Key 3: Concentration
"Make the best use of your time. Ask yourself “Is this the best use of my time?” before you start anything."
In concentration the best thing you can do with it is to give sometime in concentration and think about anything its like taking some time to relax. This should also be important time in your life if you never take the time to relax or anything concentrate on the more important things. There's also the problem where people say that they cant concentrate because of something well they are ways to do it maybe things such as listening to music or having a something in your hand to play around with or anything really whatever helps you concentrate.  There are many things to help someone concentrate on whatever they are doing and sometimes in schools what helps you concentrate is seen as in not for school or such maybe its just something small like listening to music that helps you. But if you are not doing the work and you just say this helps me concentrate when you are listening to music then yea you should not have it which should be taken into account.

Key 4Common Sense
  • Train your mind
  • think things through
  • listen to your intuition
  • learn from setbacks
In common sense everything should be easy for you at least in decision making which should make your life a little easier. There is common sense to almost everything and sometimes you just don't see it the first time around so you would need maybe the next to you see it learn from the past or from others mistakes. This would give you sort of an upper hand in your time. You could always talk with family members or maybe other peers to learn what they have done. You family members could help you in the that they have gone through a lot already in their life so they can tell what they did wrong so that maybe you wont do it again. With your peers you could learn such like an extra idea or maybe they could tell you why they would choose differently, its like having another brain to help you in the decisions you make. Of course there's that thing that everyone of you family members tell you maybe and its to think things through maybe not in that way but differently and this is something that everyone should learn to always think things through because it'll help. You should always think something through but not too much because you could end loosing your opportunity right then and there. Just remember to have common sense so you wont get into any trouble.

Key 5: Creativity
"Except the fact that every human being is a genius.  The hallmark of creativity is asking questions.  The people who are most creative ask the most questions." Creativity is maybe one of the most important things people need cause humans will always think of new and more creative ways to do something. Creativity also like imagination should be used to its full potential because your imagination is a part of you and when someone loses imagination it is as if a part of you was lost the kid part of you. But is it true that every being is a genius I don't think so because there are so many things that people say that just plain don't make sense. As a baby you start off without not knowing exactly what goes on and for what reason something happens so of course you start to learn and on being a genius well like the quote I heard "The difference between stupidity and genius is that genius has its limits" but yet at the same time you cant really someone is a genius but if they are stupid you can.

Key 6: Consideration
"The quality of your relationships with other people will determine your success in life."
"Develop the people skills you need to become a better communicator.  Take courses in listening, speaking, etc."
"If you were to learn one new word a day, within 5 years, you’ll be the best educated person in history."
This topic or key to personal power is important because of the reason this is something that will determine your help around you. For say you know a lot of people and they know you well you could easily be able to get jobs start a career if they want to help you. If you don't know many people but lets just that only those you know are people such as your family or just friends this wouldn't be as helpful because for just about anything now a days like a college or a job would require you to have a maybe 3 people that could tell them that what you are is a hard worker or helpful worker maybe that you could take the challenge but those people need to be people not in your family and can not be a friend either. This is all that goes around to help you there are also those times when the people you know could help you reach something higher maybe a higher position in a job or maybe even the job you wanted or career. It would be just like a politician would be when there are people who help him/her fund their camping and if they win what could end up happening is that could appoint those who helped him in some higher positions in government which could also be done for about any other job/career.

Key 7: Consistency
"Dependable, steady predictable work is always superior to fast spurts of work."

"Be consistent in your relationships, your family, friends, your boss, your work.  Be the person that people can depend upon.  That if you say you’ll do something you do it.."

In being consistent all really are doing is trying to you so that others don't see you differently. Though there are people who are not consist and have act very different with other people but what where to happen when those both of them are in the same place people will see them differently and maybe see some other side to them than others maybe its good maybe its bad. This also the kind of thing you need with other people even though sometimes you might lose that consistency and your routine might be messed for that time you try your hardest and sometimes its even better to something different which could maybe make your routine much better than it already is. Having consistency in your life should just be trying to improve yourself for you not for others if your happy the way you are that't good but keep trying to improve yourself.

Key 8: Commitment
"No success is possible without commitment.  The ability to commit yourself whole heartily is the basis of achieving all success."

"Become totally absorbed in your work.  Be totally committed."

The key of commitment is very important because this something many many people are looking for that if you can do some sort of job you would need to commit. When ever you commit it shows that you can do it and that acts as a sort of trust towards you so that the person knows you can do it and can depend on you. When you are not committed it is showing that person that you cant do the job or whatever it is that you are doing it could be something as simple as maybe doing homework and if you do commit to doing it then you would not be as known as how you want maybe it is maybe isn't. If you get a job you need to know that you have to commit to that job because it could also determine weather you get fired or maybe if you want a raise you wont get it because of your work effortsIt could also be the very factor that maybe gives you a higher position or maybe your for that extra points on your grade and you could have a B instead of C

Key 9: Courage
"The fear of failure is the single greatest reason for failure in life"

This is one of the most helpful key ive seen so far because of the fact that this can either make you or break you. If you want to do something to change yourself to or someone else or anything that will make make a change for the better you need to have courage to be a able to do it. People without courage are the ones that usually quite because they were to scared to do something or maybe scared of something that might change if they do it. I see this many times with few of my friends where the best thing would be to do what they wanted or needed to do but they wont because they are scared of what others might think of them or that they just gave up and don't even think about trying anymore even before they try it at all. This could also be the one of the things that could make you a better person over maybe you'll become more trustworthy maybe you be see as someone they look up to. One person I look up to is John D. Rockefeller because of his way to stand up to even the biggest of people at his time and do a task that was nearly impassible and he still does in the end no matter how big or small the task was he was a man with alot of courage.

Key 10 Confidence
"You only get confidence by doing things over and over again"
Confidence why do people need confidence. If you want to really do something things like maybe start a career you would have to have confidence cause if you don't have you wont do most things that you want too. I you want to give presentation or a pitch to someone just have the confidence to do it and sound confident. Many people at gambling they really all do sound confident which is why people are intimidated by them when they first play. Same with anyone who has had real success they always have one thing in common that they confident which give them that edge where people look at them and trust them. Someone like Rockefeller did something he didnt think he could complete but instead he had the confidence to know he could do it when he promised Vanderbilt his oil. All you need to do is have that confidence and you can do alot of great things but of course you have to be able to do it so others can trust you.

Character and Personality summary

In the video character and personality the man Stephen convey talks about the book the 7 habits and what it means.what he mainly talked about this video was on how the book helps others and also how he got he got the idea to write the book. How he was able to right the book was when he went to see why there was so much success and how it was that people gained their own success. What he said it was is the how people use character to become successful in the case that you need to build your character and you will be able to achieve the success you want and this is the case with president in america and other people have gained success too. In building your character is important because what the point of showing what you can do if you don't even want to build your character to present yourself to other which is very important. Imagine that some who knows the what they are doing and that person is good at a sport or subject or game and yet when they try to talk to others their character is poor either they are rude or just in general not a good person which could harm a lot of things in people. Another thing he talked in the video was the fact about people know themselves better than anyone else and many go to others or well mainly something students learn and when they ask the teacher how they are doing their class they know the student knows just like the same in a work area like in an office.

I don't know what it is but if you think about it the only genre of music that has lasted through out the years is the metal. This might be a little biased but in all honesty I think that it has since there has been many other genres through the years and yet in the end they fall or just become unpopular cause of the day and age. Metal on the other i see as a genre that can be played anywhere in the day and age well mostly anywhere. Things such as Electronic music has already been dying at least now you can see that there is less and less searches for this type of music. I enjoy many different types of genres i just don't think that they can surpass what metal is today in the sense that it has one of the largest followings of people then you see how Pop music now where it has started to become popular but i doubt it will ever surpass what metal is. You can even tell by the concert that Bands have i mean look at one of the most popular rappers today and then you look at the concert of one of the most famous metal bands and you will see that there is a significant larger amount of people in the metal bands concert than there is in the rappers concert

The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People

The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People

Habit 1. Be Proactive
"Habit 1 is the key to unlocking all the other habits and that's why it comes first. It says, "I am the captain of my life. I can choose my attitude. I'm responsible for my own happiness or unhappiness. I am in the driver's seat of my destiny, not just a passenger."

Now in being proactive what do you think this means to you. In this case It would usually mean to be active in most things. Even if you don't think you can be active just try your best. To proactive is to be active your school work and outside of school. This could help with a lot of this and really help with college. But how can this help with college you might ask. Well this helps with college because of how colleges look at their applicants now. The way colleges look at their applicants now is seeing just how active they were in things such as how active you were inside and outside of school. This is now just one of the many things that colleges look at now because they want to see if they can at least get the student to go and work in the school for them which could really help around the school and sometimes from what i see you do need to be proactive around school to get your homework done some might require you to go somewhere because the teachers want you to experience something first hand and then report on it or maybe just make a video about or something like that.

Habit 2, Begin with the end in mind
"Control your own destiny or someone else will." (Jack Welch)
"When you know where you intend to end up, you know where you are now." (Covey)

This is a good habit to have because of what it is trying to say. This should a be a normal for everyone because you need to know where you want to go rather than try to figure out where you are going halfway into whatever you are doing. Its like this when you are going somewhere you usually think about where you want to go first rather think about it later. I mean imagine you were on a road trip just you and a friend and you guys don't even know where you guys are going well then one of you can just take control and take the other one to somewhere that you want to go. This should serve as a example to what this is trying to say to you. This should also help you understand this much better if you didn't already understand it. The habit should always be used and always be applied since this is something that you should be doing every single day from since you were able to tell i want to go here. Later on in the years this becomes much more difficult since the place you want to in some cases requires you to have something maybe an I.D or something of importance there will be cases where you want to go such as a job but it requires you to have some sort of diploma or some experience for you to able to join.

Habit 3 Put First Things First
"Organize And execute around priorities"

In this habit it is talked about how you should put the most important things first. Putting first things is something that everyone should be doing since this does help people prioritize what needs to be done first in their life. If there are things that are holding you back than you should start putting the most important things first and start leaving the rest for after your done. I know that there is a lot of things that could be considered important but its what must be done at the start rather than later in the time. This should be done for many things in your life at your house, at school, or at work if you have work and this should help with what you are going to be doing in that time and that place. If there are thing more important than others than it should be a given that those things must go first rather than later because if not than you will end with even more work than before. This is something that a lot of people learn to do sooner or later when something important comes up or when there is a lot things that need to be done.
Habit 4: Think Win-Win
"Think win-win or no deal."

In this habit i guess its important to do this because it shows that you don't let things get you down even when the times are tough. This could let let you see that there are good things in what you are doing and even if you think that you lost you could still gain from. You could also think of it as a possible out come and both outcomes are good ones. Outcomes aren't all bad expect when they are so there will be good ones and bad ones. This is a habit that is in what i can take from it is that it is telling you to keep your chin up even when things don't go your way. This could be helpful in many ways because it lets you see that just because things don't go your way you could always see that there are goods sides to things. If you think no deal then that's when you know that the thing you are choosing to do or were choosing to do is a no go is just plain bad maybe either that or you just have some other reason for not doing it. This should also be said that this habit is so that people see life as a cooperating rather than competitive

Habit 5: Seek First to understand, then to be understood
"Diagnose before you prescribe."

This is one is a pretty important for someone and for others since people are suppose to know what they are doing before they do it. This just like how a doctor would give someone medicine before they do anything else to give someone medicine they need to see whats wrong with the person before they prescribe. This would be the same with meeting someone new you would have to know about them before really anything else unless you really don't want to know about the person. Most of the time people would ask for the persons name their interest and other things like such and this helps the person be able to understand what the other person is like most of the time it helps sometimes it wont. This is really important to for a lot of different reasons things for a lot people such as teachers, bosses, and others. This helps teachers because the first thing they want to do is understand how the students are to be able to adjust to each student or maybe the whole and be able to help thee students in the way the should be most effective to them and then be able to learn much easier or faster. Bosses helps them because like this they are able to understand the people they hire which should give them the impression of how the person is and also be able to determine weather the person would last in the job or not and also weather it was the right choice of hiring them or not.

Habit 6: Synergize
"The whole is greater than the sum of its parts (1+1=3)"

What does snynergize mean is what people have to ask. If you were to look it up it would more than likely just say something along the lines of working together. This should be something that is very important for many different areas. This is really important in getting a job done in the since of a team working well together. If you look at any team that knows what they are doing you will that they communicant with each other in all times to be able to work well. You see sports teams and they will be talking with each other and planning out a strategy for their next play and they remember it. If you see the members of  a band you can see the had practice and they are able to play their instruments well together same with the lead singer all band members work together to get out the sound that they need at a live show. This is also the same with competitions such the video game concerts each of them talk with each and calling stuff out so their team knows what is happening if they don't know already.  This in a work place such as an office or movie set goes the same way you must communicate with your team or co workers to be able to finish a objective effectively and quickly. This is also how the police force works and how an army works they all are able to know what is happening because of communication. Communication is the most important thing you will ever have so remember it use it and if you think you can't yes you can there are many different ways and forms of communication.

Habit 7: Sharpen the saw
The four dimensions of the self-Renewal: Physical, mental, Spiritual, Social/Emotional
In the 7th habit you can see sharpen the saw but now what does this mean. This means to more or less keep yourself active may not have to be physical but as long your not becoming dull maybe you can do things such as read a book or watch some sort of movie or play brain games. This can all help you out in your daily life since your brain wont dull out or it wont just be out of practice. Sometimes but not always you should still play some sort of sport since this would also help you out in the case of this so you can go and have something to play maybe you should play something with your friends to make it a little more fun. It doesn't even have to be a sport but just something to get you active in your time so you wont be worn out or so your muscles wont hurt.
Reflection: On the final reflection about this 7 habits of highly effective people I would like to say that this are good habits to have just really annoying to be told again and again about them or even just reminded about them again and again. I would that as long as you know them more or less or just don't be a rude person I think you should be fine there isn't much that people need to know about being an effective person. If you think you are effective enough then who is there to tell you otherwise it is also i feel that maybe if you can something faster by whatever means go ahead and do it. Overall I have applied to my life but not in the same way I have explained here in different ways. this could be helpful to many people and it could help them everyday life maybe make it better or worse for them. There are many things that can come into play which would be an obstacle but as long as you are at the place you want to be and feel that you are achieved well that should be good enough for on your terms and if you don't consider doing more or better.
