9 ways to be

Ways to be

9 Ways to Be happy and make something out of your life

Gordon B. Hinckley

1. Be Grateful

Being Grateful can mean a number of things to everyone some may think of being grateful is something else but to each their own. What being grateful to me means to always say thank you for everything you have cause you were giving that cause the person thought you deserved it. I know that there are people who aren't grateful for what they have are for what others do for them. i know some people who really aren't thankful for what they have and yet they never think about the less fortune  ones and yea it kinda sad when people are like that. Some gratefulness can go a long way you never what can happen and maybe it will go back to you and the your good comes right back. Even a small amount of gratitude can be alot to a person depending on how the person the is it may be alot or little. Being can help your life be a little more happier even when your feeling down and the someone helps you out just a little bit. Sometimes a littlest of gratefulness can can be a big act for someone. One very good way to being grateful is to have positive thinking. One quote i like about gratefulness is from Voltaire and this is his quote “Appreciation is a wonderful thing. It makes what is excellent in others belong to us as well.” I like quote because it shows how being grateful or appreciative can make the gratefulness of someone can go from person to person making the world a better place even if its just a little bit.
“Appreciation is a wonderful thing. It makes what is excellent in others belong to us as well.”
― Voltaire

2. Be smart

Why is being smart important me? and why it should be important to you. Being smart is important to me because this should be normal for most people. This is a quote I found that shows how working hard and smart are different "Working hard and working smart sometimes can be two different things" by Byron Dorgan. What this quote means to me is that are two different ways to work smart and then working hard by things such as the guy who wanted to transport things from one place to another he wasn't doing fast or smart. But what about the person who invented the wheel he was able to transport things by putting it in a box with wheels and it made it faster and easier to transport things. Another important thing to do when your trying to work smart is to work with others they can maybe help in your idea or improve on it. I know that as time goes on we find easier  and easier ways to do things which is good and bad at the same time.

3. Be involved in good works
How are some ways that being involved in good works is good for you. Some ways you can be involved in good works is look for some online or even at your school you can help around. Being involved in good works isn't just helping others around you but your also helping yourself grow as a person. You can also just do what my teacher always says and that's choosing the right. When your involved in good works you help out the community.“Good works is giving to the poor and the helpless, but divine works is showing them their worth to the On.
4. Be Clean
What being clean means to me is to be organized. Being clean can help you in a number of ways for things such as cleaning up course it depends on what your cleaning up. If you have a clean work area you should be able to find things much faster work because you will know where everything is. Sometimes be clean doesn't always mean in an office or school its could also mean at your house have a clean room. Having a clean room can help in a number of ways for things such as doing homework in your room lets get ready for school much faster cause you will know where everything is. Cleans rooms can also show others how you are if you bring friends over then can see that you aren't messy and that you can handle yourself.
The picture on the top is true to whoever it believes it is. Happiness is a freshly cleaned house cause i mean you come home and you see that your house isn't a dirty house with trash everywhere. Having a clean home also shows that your not lazy and that you will actually get up and clean your house shows that you put some effort I mean come on a little house wont kill you. Being clean can also apply to being sober if your a heavy drink you should at least do it in moderation. Sometimes being clean can also mean to keep a clean mind which is good for a number of a things but also because its the right to do.

5. Be true
What does being true mean to you? What being true means to me is to not lie to yourself in terms such cheating or when your untruthful to others. Some ways that being truthful is needed is when your doing a test you shouldn't cheat. being true also helps when anyone ask you about anything just say the truth and don't lie.I haven't always been true but you know little lies doesn't hurt anyone. Being is also important because you could also end up losing friends by telling lies. This is a quote I found about being true "The only real failure in life is not to be true to the best one knows." - Buddha. what this quote means to me is that you fail at life if your arent true to others. One thing that I know for sure is that can you be true to others if you cant be true to yourself. But there are times when telling the truth isn't quite the best idea and that its best to leave then to say anything about it.

6. Be positive
How does being positive help you? Some ways being positive can help you is by having a good attitude towards life which help you live a happier life. Other ways being positives helps is that you can make others happy just by being happy. Being Positive also helps when your feeling down you can just try to be positive about whatever happened. "Attitude is a little thing that makes a big difference" -Winston Churchill. Now this quote by Winston Churchill is very much true. How true is it, well your attitude can determine whether you finish something or not. It can determine just how much work you get done. You should also know that when something bad happens be positive about and move on nothing is gonna change if you keep dwelling on the past. But also being to positive about things isn't really good at times it can be annoying. At the same time you cant be positive about everything think about how are you suppose to feel happiness without feeling sadness. I think that being positive should be most of the time rather than all the time.
8. Be still
What does being still mean to you?  I don't really know what being still means but from what i can guess maybe it means to take time and relax. So if i am right about the meaning of be still then i guess that yea it helps. It can be help when people are stressed or they have so much to do or don't get time to rest often. When do really get time to relax then it can lead to worse things in life. People should take the time to relax even just a little bit from time to time at least like that you wont be to stressed. I know a lot of college students and students that take AP classes need to this. Maybe the way you relax isn't just sitting still maybe its listing to music or reading or what ever it is. Its pretty important to do this every once in a while and should help with life time problems. I know that sometimes i have to take time to relax cause if i dont well it can hurt me. Well now just in case i am wrong well still you should still take this into consideration it can still help. I know that i am pretty tired just about all the time because of school but remember be still.
Learning how to be still, to really be still and let life happen - that stillness becomes a radiance. - Morgan Freeman

9. Be Prayerful

Reflection: Well this the end of the ways to be happy and make something of your life. So then what did we talk about here we talk about being clean, being true, being still, being humble etc. So out of this which was your favorite mine had to be to be positive. reflecting on all of these i have learned that i need to apply more of these on myself. I have also learned that I have applied some of these to myself not all but a few and its not a bad way to think like the ways that are on here. Some ways that i have been able to apply these to my life have been the one of be humble and i was able to help others out and also myself. But in my opinion I don't think that you need to apply all of these 9 ways to yourself you can get by with at least just doing what you need sure they will help you but not all of them at the same time. Something else you should know is that you dont have to follow exactly the way it is here you just need to apply in your own way and you will achieve it and be happy. The one i think is the most important one will have to be "Be Happy". Why is it the important to me because is the one thing as a human you should be able to do and make others do cause if you don't then it really isn't something normal. On this final note i leave with just try to apply these to best of your ability.

Medieval Latin biblia is short for biblia sacra "holy book", while biblia in Greek and Late Latin is neuter plural (gen. bibliorum). It gradually came to be regarded as a feminine singular noun (biblia, gen. bibliae) in medieval Latin, and so the word was loaned as a singular into the vernaculars of Western Europe.[8] Latin biblia sacra "holy books" translates Greek Ļ„į½° Ī²Ī¹Ī²Ī»ĪÆĪ± Ļ„į½° į¼…Ī³Ī¹Ī± ta biblia ta hagia, "the holy books".[9]

The word Ī²Ī¹Ī²Ī»ĪÆĪæĪ½ itself had the literal meaning of "paper" or "scroll" and came to be used as the ordinary word for "book". It is the diminutive of Ī²ĻĪ²Ī»ĪæĻ‚ byblos, "Egyptian papyrus", possibly so called from the name of the Phoenician sea port Byblos (also known as Gebal) from whence Egyptian papyrus was exported to Greece. The Greek ta biblia (lit. "little papyrus books")[10] was "an expression Hellenistic Jews used to describe their sacred books (the Septuagint).[11][12] Christian use of the term can be traced to c. 223 CE.[7] The biblical scholar F.F. Bruce notes that Chrysostom appears to be the first writer (in his Homilies on Matthew, delivered between 386 and 388) to use the Greek phrase ta biblia ("the books") to describe both the Old and New Testaments together.[13]

    Textual history
By the 2nd century BCE, Jewish groups had called the Bible books the "scriptures" and referred to them as "holy," or in Hebrew כִּ×Ŗְבֵי הַקֹּדֶשׁ (Kitvei hakkodesh), and Christians now commonly call the Old and New Testaments of the Christian Bible "The Holy Bible" (in Greek Ļ„į½° Ī²Ī¹Ī²Ī»ĪÆĪ± Ļ„į½° į¼…Ī³Ī¹Ī±, tĆ  biblĆa tĆ  Ć”gia) or "the Holy Scriptures" (Ī· Ī‘Ī³ĪÆĪ± Ī“ĻĪ±Ļ†Ī®, e AgĆa Graphįø—).[14] The Bible was divided into chapters in the 13th century by Stephen Langton and into verses in the 16th century by French printer Robert Estienne[15] and is now usually cited by book, chapter, and verse.

The oldest extant copy of a complete Bible is an early 4th-century parchment book preserved in the Vatican Library, and known as the Codex Vaticanus. The oldest copy of the Tanakh in Hebrew and Aramaic dates to the 10th century CE. The oldest copy of a complete Latin (Vulgate) Bible is the Codex Amiatinus, dating from the 8th century.[16]

Professor John K. Riches, Professor of Divinity and Biblical Criticism at the University of Glasgow, in an Oxford University Press introduction to the Bible, says that "the biblical texts themselves are the result of a creative dialogue between ancient traditions and different communities through the ages",[17] and "the biblical texts were produced over a period in which the living conditions of the writers – political, cultural, economic, and ecological – varied enormously".[18] Timothy H. Lim, a professor of Hebrew Bible and Second Temple Judaism at the University of Edinburgh, says that the Old Testament is "a collection of authoritative texts of apparently divine origin that went through a human process of writing and editing."[19] He states that it is not a magical book, nor was it literally written by God and passed to mankind. The Bible (from Koine Greek Ļ„į½° Ī²Ī¹Ī²Ī»ĪÆĪ±, tĆ  biblĆa, "the books"[1] ) is a collection of sacred texts in Judaism and Christianity. It is a collection of scriptures written at different times by different authors in different locations. Jews and Christians consider the books of the Bible to be a product of divine inspiration or an authoritative record of the relationship between God and humans.

The canonical Bible varies depending on traditions or groups; a number of Bible canons have evolved, with overlapping and diverging contents.[2] The Christian Old Testament overlaps with the Hebrew Bible and the Greek Septuagint; the Hebrew Bible is known in Judaism as the Tanakh. The New Testament is a collection of writings by early Christians, believed to be mostly Jewish disciples of Christ, written in first-century Koine Greek. These early Christian Greek writings consist of narratives, letters, and apocalyptic writings. Among Christian denominations there is some disagreement about the contents of the canon, primarily in the Apocrypha, a list of works that are regarded with varying levels of respect.

Attitudes towards the Bible also vary amongst Christian groups. Roman Catholics, Anglicans and Eastern Orthodox Christians stress the harmony and importance of the Bible and sacred tradition, while Protestant churches focus on the idea of sola scriptura, or scripture alone. This concept arose during the Protestant Reformation, and many denominations today continue to support the use of the Bible as the only source of Christian teaching.

With estimated total sales of over 5 billion copies, the Bible is widely considered to be the best-selling book of all time.[3][4] It has estimated annual sales of 100 million copies,[5][6] and has been a major influence on literature and history, especially in the West where the Gutenberg Bible was the first mass-printed book. It was the first book ever printed using movable type.
